It is often assumed that classroom management products are developed with a view to effective control and management of younger students and as such the products have less relevance within higher education. It is true that younger students require a greater level of "hands on" control and instruction and that features that allow a more positive enforcement of acceptable use policies are essential.
Within higher education the same tools can be effectively applied to benefit the ICT classroom, however in this environment the flexibility and stability of NetSupport School allows a wider focus on collaborative teaching, assessment and group working. The need to deliver effective application instruction and presentations remains unchanged, but the need for tools that allow students to interact, question and assess information presented takes equal priority. Higher education students also have a need to take information delivered within the classroom and use this for external research and project work, and again NetSupport School provides the tools to streamline this process.
